Andrés Henríquez is a program officer in the education division of Carnegie Corporation of New York and temporarily on leave serving at the National Science Foundation in their Education Directorate. Prior to joining the Corporation, Andrés served as the Assistant Director for Strategic Planning, Center for Children and Technology (CCT) at the New York offices of the Education Development Center, Inc. As part of his work at CCT, Andrés served as as a project manager in the Union City, New Jersey schools that helped initiate that high-poverty district's road to success. Andrés has also served as a researcher at the Children's Television Workshop and as a senior research analyst at MTV Networks. He is also a certified teacher and taught for five years at a public elementary school in East Harlem. Andrés received his undergraduate degree from Hamilton College and a master degree from Teachers College, Columbia University.
