Fernando Febres was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He currently works at General Mills as the Marketing Communications Planner supporting the Multicultural Center of Excellence and Qué Rica Vida, General Mills’ owned media platform dedicated to Hispanic food culture content and recipes.

In this role, Fernando leads the social media strategy and execution for Qué Rica Vida, supports broad digital marketing efforts for the platform and consults with brands like Cheerios, Nature Valley, Yoplait, among others on their Hispanic marketing plans and activations. He also leads the strategic community relations partnerships with key non-profits, including the National Council of La Raza and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.

Previous to General Mills, Fernando gained extensive General Market and Hispanic Market experience on both the client side and agency side at DraftFCB, Sony Music Entertainment, Nevarez Communications and MK3 Creative. Fernando holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Communications and Advertising from Emerson College in Boston, MA.
